A Family Beach House on the Maraú Peninsula, with Room to Breathe

Travelling with kids calls for a place that holds everyone at once: room for children to run, quiet for parents to breathe, and days full of things to do together. Zoetry was made for exactly that — an entire private house in the forest of the Maraú Peninsula, steps from the sea and the natural pools of Taipu de Fora.

Space and safety

The house is entirely yours: two en-suite bedrooms sleeping up to six, a generous living area, and a private pool ringed by garden and native forest. No neighbours down the hall, no strangers sharing the space — just your family, with a resident team caring for the house so the children have freedom and the parents have peace of mind.

Close to everything, far from the noise

It's 400 metres to the beach and 600 metres to the natural pools — short enough to walk there and back with a child and a wet towel. The tucked-away setting keeps traffic far off and the garden full of marmosets and toucans, usually the first attraction of the trip for the little ones.

Days for the whole family

  • Beach tennis and lessons at Dreamland Arena Beach, about 1 km away — fun for kids and parents on the same court.
  • A quad-bike or buggy outing through the region, arranged by the concierge.
  • A private boat trip to Ponta do Mutá and Cassange, with calm-water stops to swim.
  • The natural pools of Taipu de Fora at low tide: shallow, warm, clear water — perfect for a child's first snorkel.
  • Marmosets and toucans in the garden — the resident wildlife that delights the children every morning.

What the parents get

While the children play, the details are the house's job. The concierge arranges tours, transfers and bookings; the resident team handles the cleaning and the day-to-day. And once the kids are down, the best of the trip is left for the parents: slow evenings by the pool, with the sound of forest and sea behind them.

Getting here

Fly into Ilhéus with a road transfer, or arrive via Camamu and cross by boat to Barra Grande. The team arranges everything door to door — just send us your flight time and how many children are coming with you.

Frequently asked questions

Is the house safe for small children?

Yes. It's an entire private house, never shared with strangers, with an enclosed garden and a resident team day to day. The pool is private, and the natural pools of Taipu de Fora are shallow and calm at low tide. As with any house near a pool and the sea, parental supervision remains essential.

How many people does the house sleep?

Up to six guests across two en-suite bedrooms — comfortable for a couple with children, or two close families travelling together.

Can you arrange beach tennis and boat trips?

Yes. The concierge arranges beach tennis and lessons at the arena about 1 km away, quad-bike or buggy outings, and private boat trips with calm-water swim stops. Just tell us what the family would like to do.

Are the natural pools suitable for children?

They're ideal. At low tide the reef forms pools of shallow, warm, clear water over the coral — perfect for a first snorkel. The team sends the tide table so you can pick the best times.
